All the Shiny Conkers

I can’t believe how quickly autumn is upon us! Over the past month I have been mainly focused on turning 50 years of age (I admit this has hit me quite hard) plus writing various book chapters on parts of my research including witches and activism, the urban Wyrd and spirituality and healing. I’ve also been planning some Rootstock workshops for York St John university and Rootstock sessions for the York Environment Festival. I’ve also enjoyed watching the pair of pigeons that live in my yard and who have successfully raised four chicks this season! I hope I have helped in some small way with the constant supply of sunflower hearts.

Although autumn is truly the most beautiful season, I always feel slightly sad seeing the sunlight waning and the leaves falling. But, everything has to rest and recuperate, something I think we humans in the western world tend to forget. And we are always blessed with such shiny conkers which never fail to bring out my hoarding tendencies! Hope you all have a vibrant and nourishing season!
