Sharing Knowledge
I have developed a pedagogy informed by rhizomatic and critical ecofeminist principles that seek to reject structures that position the teacher as an authoritative origin and the learner as a passive recipient of hegemonic knowledge. This means I strive to upset the dualisms (such as human/nature, culture/spiritual and formal/invisible knowledge) that have constructed Western educational practices and epistemologies. I choose to use creative elicitation and rhizome theory as tools for generating diverse forms of knowledge and learning. Such a pedagogy is constantly being mapped and is open to lateral connections and lines of flight that always exceed the intended design of any given educational session. In simple terms, I like to teach and learn differently, using creative methods whenever possible.
