Magical Northern Lights

Chances are, the vast majority of us were aware of the Northern Lights in the UK last night. Truly the most beautiful thing I have ever seen and both Jupiter and Mars were also visible. Many cultures have their interpretations as to the symbolism of the aurora. The Norse peoples, for example believed the northern lights were reflections from the armour of the Valkyries as they escorted fallen warriors to Valhalla and were also the manifestation of Odin's power and presence. The Inuit people believe the lights are the spirits of ancestors dancing in the sky and bringing messages from the other realms. What I personally loved was how this brought so many people out of their homes to wonder at the awesomeness and magic of it all 🩷💜
